Dear Friends
I hope this message finds you well. Now more than ever.
At the Braillists Foundation we recognize social distancing measures introduced by governments around the world, to tackle the spread of Covid-19, represents a particular challenge for blind and partially sighted people, especially those of us who live alone.
To minimize the impact of social isolation on blind and partially sighted people and work out what practical support we’ll be able to offer our community, I invite you to join the Braillists Foundation weekly conference call on Fridays to enable anyone with concerns or questions to seek and share advice and support. Anyone can call in.
I have also compiled a page of blindness specific resources on our website at: www.Braillists.org/staysafe
Please share this information with the VI community, friends, family members, supporting professionals and anyone else you feel could benefit. This information is constantly under review and your feedback is very welcome.
On behalf of everyone in the Braillists family I wish you well throughout this difficult time. I hope you can join me on Friday.
Yours sincerely
Dave Williams,
Chairman of the Braillists Foundation
