Braillito is an app designed to bring braille closer to anyone who wants to learn it in a simple and enjoyable way.
It is aimed at blind people who are beginning to explore braille, but also at family members, teachers, students, and anyone curious about how braille works.
The app offers a progressive learning experience through lessons, exercises, and small games. Users can practice letters, numbers, and symbols, build words, explore braille equivalents, and gradually track their progress.
What I like most is its educational value. Anything that helps make braille better known, more approachable, and less like a mysterious code reserved for a few people is always welcome.
That said, it is important to remember one thing. Learning the braille code is only part of the journey. Braille also requires real hands-on practice. In the end, your fingers have to do their job because, as useful as apps may be, they still cannot read braille over Bluetooth.
For that reason, I see Braillito as a great starting point, an enjoyable way to begin learning, and a useful companion for anyone who later wants to continue with real braille materials.
